My Hemingway article is no. 1 article on Helium!!!!!!!

Another No.1 article on Helium! The book review I wrote yesterday, on Ernest Hemingway's novella The Old Man and the Sea, has gone to number 1, of 6 articles, overnight!

IMPORTANT NEW EXCITING INFORMATION!!!!!!!!

Hi, hi, hi all my lovely friends, hope you are all well! I am so excited right now!!!! I can now announce that my designs are complete for the range of clothing I have been creating for over a year!!! Just to let you know all the designs in the first phase coincide with the band name, the album name and songs from the CD, which I can now reveal is a concept album called INSOMNIA!!! The clothing range is called 'INSOMNIA BY MARILYN JUSTINE' and I have designed everything myself.

The colour scheme is black and red with the occassional bit of white and grey, and the range reflects youth, rock music and independence! I believe that most (if not all) you lovely people on our friends list would LOVE the deisgns I have got for you and really just want to see who might be interested in getting their hands on them.

I have shown all my designs to Cindy Bailey who works with Audrey Kitching in LA and she is VERY enthusiastic about them all, I quote Cindy here "Well you certainly seem well deserving of your 'Young Entrepreneurs of the
Year' award. Your work is great and your pitch is well thought out. Good luck and keep up the great work!"

I can now reveal the artwork for the CD and the design which inflences a lot of the clothing range. Let me know what you guys think and we will also be creating buzznet and myspace pages with details of the designs and how you can order then from any country in the world. I can't seem to be able to attach the designs to this page so I'll post them as pictures, go take a look and leave comments if you like them or if you are interested in purchasing. Don't forget to buzz them ;-)

Ok, I've been tagged three times so here we go:

Here are the rules

1. My main passions in life are music, movies, art and literature. I cannot imagine life without them. The two albums that changed my life were 'Ropin' the Wind' by Garth Brooks and 'American Idiot' by Green Day.

2. I am obsessed with coffee and diet coke.

3. I am left-handed therefore have a strong creative side. I write songs, poetry, draw, paint and love photography. I think that art is a beautiful thing. The creation of something is to be greatly admired.

4. I am an over-analyser who tries to see the beauty in our world. I love the smell of musty old books and freshly cut grass. I love shopping but I also love historical buildings and museums and am obsessed with the past.

5. I have never been in love. I haven't met my soul mate yet (if there is such a thing). I think that talent can make someone more attractive. American accents make me melt. I have a weakness for strong, creative guys. Usually musicians. On a physical level I am attracted to black hair, brown eyes and endearing traits like a lop-sided grin. I need someone who can protect me (I'm no woman's lib!) and make me feel safe, someone I can talk to on an intellectual level but also someone I can be stupid with, someone who is my best friend and shares my sense of humour.

6. I am a mass of contradictions. I like picnics and walks in the countryside but I also like shopping and gigs. I love white cotton dresses and black eyeliner. I am a mix of emotions and thoughts. My bedroom reflects who I am. It is a combination of classic Hollywood/Marilyn Monroe/Audrey Hepburn and modern rock/guitars/skulls. I like to collect things. I am proud of my vast CD and DVD collections.

7. I can be serious when I need to be but I also have a stupid sense of humour which a lot of people don't get. I also cry at movies and sad songs. The last song that made me cry was 'Alyssa Lies' by Jason Michael Carroll. I also remember crying at 'Whisky Lullaby' by Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss, Martina McBride's 'Concrete Angel' and 'Travelling Soilder' by both Ty England and Dixie Chicks.' I have accute empathy which can be a good or a bad thing.

8. I hate getting up early but I love staying up late.

Well, my Wimbledon's over :-(

Just finished watched Andy's nail bitting quarter-final match. It looked like he had it in the bag from the start, being 2 sets up, then his French opponent broke back, winning two sets himself. The final set was neck and neck with each man wininng game about until 6-6, then it all went horribly wrong. He played a great game and should be proud of his performance, but he was very gutted to go out, still he got further than last year and would have been facing Federer in the next round tomorrow anyway.

Still, I salute you Mr Roddick for playing a great game and there's always next year!

To all our friends in the USA

Hope you guys in the USA had a great 4th July yesterday, it was my parents wedding anniversary so I was doing some celebrating myself but I ate WAY too much cake! It's my birthday on Tuesday so even more cake.....

Jon is getting his windows delivered today and apparantly they are 'as big as doors' and 'very impressive', I'll let you know when they are installed and we can get down to recording some tracks for you guy to hear, you've all been so patient and sorry again for the delay.

The weather is really bad at Wimbledon this year, it just keeps raining! I was enjoying the Andy Roddick match on Tuesday night when it was rained off and he played on Wednesday morning while I was at work, gutted! At least he's through to the semi-finals (unlike last year). I've been showing my support by wearing my 'No Compromise' wristband. Go Andy!

Good Charlotte @ Carling Academy last night

Good Charlotte played The Carling Academy in Glasgow last night in style. The show (and the atmosphere) was arguably better than the last time they played and lead singer Joel Madden had the sweat to prove it, noting that he was sweating so much "you can see the tattoo on my back through my shirt!" They played all their hits, forthcoming single The River and highlights from their new CD Good Morning Revival, most notably the track All Black. I think it's fair to say a great night was had by all, and the bands attempts at Scottish accents was the funniest part of the evening.

A shout out has to go to my friend Lorainne who adores the band and had an awesome time to last time they came but was unable to attend this year as she is waiting for a defibulator to be installed in her heart. I was thinking of you when I was there sweetie, I know how much you love the twins! Take care.
